○Objectives: Preparation for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan has been rapidly progressing. Expo 2020 Dubai was a part of urban development project based on the assumption that the land would be used for another purpose after the exposition. The pavilions shouldn’t be just temporary, but how the legacy should be used has become a major issue.
We think of the year of 2025 as the “kick off” of the development of the site and its surrounding area, and regard the east-west axis* which links the exposition site succeeding to the legacy of World Exposition with Kansai Gakken City where intelligent institutions and research centers gather as “the east-west axis which leads the design of the future society”. In this forum, specialists and key persons of related institutions will join so that it will be the place to discuss freely with their own ideas. It’s also aiming at creating possibility as the field of innovation and infrastructure development as well as the cutting- edge demonstration project through industry-academic-government collaboration among local universities, research institutions, small-and-middle sized companies and municipalities.
