○Objectives: The Osaka Kansai World Exposition will be held in 2025. One of the

features is said to be the virtual exhibition hall outside of the venue. Various experiments will be conducted including public viewing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympic Games. In the coming 5 years, it is expected that such events will be the colossal experimental sites of virtual cities focusing on MICE/IR. Osaka/Kansai has a possibility to be the field of great business opportunities. But the concrete image has yet to be made, and Osaka Prefecture is planning to promote it on full scale initiating the organization called “Smart City Strategy Department (tentative name)”. In this seminar, experts and people concerned from public organizations will meet together and discuss freely with their own ideas.
